UPDATE: Services have been restored as of 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020.
On Sept. 23, the City of Denton learned that a third-party vendor, Tyler Technologies, experienced a security incident involving unauthorized access and disruption to their internal information technology systems. The City currently has no reason to believe that any resident or customer information was affected.
As a result of the disruption, several online resources and platforms will be unavailable as the vendor corrects the issue. Currently, the following City of Denton resources are suspended and unavailable until further notice:
Online Municipal Court payments and records search;
Online police reporting; and
Handheld citation devices for the Denton Police Department.
Municipal Court Payment: While these online systems are unavailable, residents needing to make a payment to the Municipal Court may do so in person at City Hall East, 601 E. Hickory St.
The Municipal Court is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is currently using a virtual queuing system for defendants and customers. Upon arrival, check-in at the kiosk to get your place in the virtual line.
Filing a Police Report: : For non-emergency situations, please call (940) 349-8181. To file a non-emergency police report with the Denton Police Department, you can speak with an officer by calling (940) 349-8173.
