Aggravated Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested
DENTON, TX, July 21, 2021 – On July 17, at 4:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Cleveland St. in response to a Sexual Assault call. A third-party caller reported a female victim of a sexual assault had approached them asking for help.
Officers and paramedics were dispatched, and the female was transported to a local hospital. In an interview with the woman, investigators learned she had been strangled, repeatedly punched, threatened, and sexually assaulted by an unknown male suspect.
After a thorough investigation, the suspect was identified as 21-year-old Gadiel Alejandro Davila-Perez of Little Elm. The Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, composed of members from the Denton Police Department and Denton County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Davila-Perez today with the assistance of the Little Elm Police Department.
Davila-Perez is currently in the City of Denton Jail being held on a $1 million bond.
